Five Days To Go

There's only five days until Fresh and New 2007 opens at 28 Lady Lawson Street and if you're even half as excited as we are, then that's very excited!
We'll have work from 18 jewellers and textile artists, so mosey on down and see what's really going on in the Scottish jewellery scene. Just to make it easy for you, here's a link to a map of our exact location. No excuses now!

We're very much looking forward to seeing you, we might even have cake for you.

Precious

Precious Is Born!

Welcome to Precious, the newest kid on the contemporary jewellery scene! Founded by two recent graduates of the jewellery department of Edinburgh College of Art, Precious exists to promote and exhibit new and exciting work by emerging contemporary jewellers in Scotland.

After graduating form Edinburgh College of Art in 2006, Caroline Smith and Sarah McAdam have found that there is a distinct lack of an exciting contemporary jewellery scene within Scotland, especially for the very recently graduated. Our aim is to find ways to get the best in new jewellery out and seen through a combination of guerilla exhibitions and collaborations.

Come see the first Precious exhibition, Fresh and New, during the Edinburgh Festival. Running from 4th to 31st August at 28 Lady Lawson Street, Edinburgh (a stones throw from the Art College) we'll be showing a range of work from graduates of Edinburgh and Glasgow. With work from graduates of the past three years, with some hot off the Degree Show press, it's your chance to see the future of Scottish Contemporary Jewellery, and maybe even own some.
